Chuang Che-Kuang, a project lecturer of the Interaction Design Department of our school, won the second place in the digital art category of the 27th Dadun Art Exhibition with his personal work "Yuan Hundred Scenery-Appearance Machine".
Teacher Chuang Che-Kuang said that the "Yuan Hundred Scenery" series is a creative project launched at the beginning of this year (2022). It takes the popular metaverse issue as an idea, and uses CG animation and NFT technology to show the virtual world of the future generation in the online world. Hundred scenes of life. The series contains different sub-themes such as "food", "clothing", "living", and "travel". Although they are created under the same context, they are independent of each other. The award-winning "Yuan Hundred Scenery - Appearance Machine" at the Dadun Art Exhibition is a digital art creation proposed for "clothes". Another work, "One Hundred Scenery of Yuan Dynasty - Eating Machine", was also selected for the Sulfur Creek Art Exhibition hosted by Changhua County in October this year.
The Dadun Art Exhibition in Taichung City began in 1996. From the initial local art exhibition and national art exhibition, it expanded into an international art competition in 2002. The total prize money of the competition exceeded NT$3 million. Among the public art competitions in Taiwan, Dadun Art Exhibition is not only the largest art competition with the widest range of competition categories, the largest number of participants, and the highest total awards. This year, more than 1,300 works from 19 countries participated together, becoming an international art exchange platform .
