After being nominated in the Golden Pin Design Award, this year's graduation works from the Interactive Design Department have been nominated for 13 works in the Golden Melody Awards. We wish the graduates a successful start and a remarkable achievement!

Project Title: "Cocoon: Metaphysical" Awards: Nominated in Vision Get Wild Award / Special Sponsor Award in Digital Image Design Category at Golden Pin Award Authors: Ming-Yen Sung, Hong-Wei Chen, Guan-Zhen Chen, Ying-Ru Zhu, Zhi-Ying Wen, Yu-Hsin Liang, Ya-Heng Lu Instructor: Lung, Chi-Hao Project Description: "Cocoon: Metaphysical" is a promotional conceptual video for Taipei Tech's Interactive Design Department's 108th Class Graduation Exhibition. Interactive design is a cocoon that bestows new life upon us. In the world of the metaverse, forms are no longer confined to the visible; the line between reality and virtuality is blurred. We can transcend previous limitations and experience entirely new sensory encounters.

  2. Project Title: "miss" Awards: Nominated in Vision Get Wild Award Authors: Wei-Cheng Wang, Zhi-Ying Wen, Guan-Ting Chen, You-Lin Liao, Guan-Zhen Chen, Shao-En Chen Instructor: Lung, Chi-Hao Project Description: "miss" is a third-person side-scrolling action game where players assume the role of a grandmother who returns to her childhood home and gradually recalls lost memories. In the game, players use an umbrella and spells for attacking and defending, defeat monsters, and gather clues.

Project Title: "BREAKER: INITIATING" Awards: Nominated in Vision Get Wild Award Authors: Shao-Ting Bai, Chieh-Hsin Liu, Pei-Hsia Chen, Yun Li Instructor: Chung-Yi Chang Project Description: "BREAKER: INITIATING" is a post-apocalyptic 3D side-scrolling puzzle game with electrical and platforming elements at its core. Players embody a robot, El, as they escape from a mysterious facility and explore the remnants of civilization.

Project Title: "Infinite" Awards: Nominated in Vision Get Wild Award Authors: Yu-Che Chen, Cheng-Bin Dong, Jie-Yun Lee, Zheng-Peng Yu Instructor: Chao-Hsiang Sung Project Description: In this vast cosmos, an unexpected accident leads you to crash-land on a peculiar planet with advanced technological relics. Your only hope of leaving this place lies within a giant mechanical being whose core pulses continuously, causing the entire planet to fluctuate. It's time to feel the rhythm, overcome obstacles, and chase forward. This is your final chance. But perhaps your visit was never coincidental but rather a trial or the prelude to a new grand symphony.

Project Title: "Tea island, Tea stories" Awards: Nominated in Vision Get Wild Award / Finalist in Red Dot Award: Design Concept 2023 Authors: Pei-Chi Lin, Chih-Ling Kuo, Cheng-Yi Hsieh, Ping-Yi Hsieh Instructor: Chao-Hsiang Sung Project Description: "Tea island, Tea stories" is a gamified ordering system and service design for tea houses. Users embark on an adventure as explorers, and their choices correspond to various tea bases and ingredients, ultimately resulting in a customized tea. Additionally, users receive commemorative cards with information about the sampled teas.

Project Title: "Dawn" Awards: Nominated in Vision Get Wild Award Authors: Shan-Tsung Liu, Yi-Ling Wang, Lu-Chang Cai, Szu-Hsüeh Lin, Ming-Yen Sung, Yu-Hsuan Lu Instructor: Che-Kuang Chuang Project Description: In this world after the twilight of the gods, the only surviving god of hunting, Ullr, wields a bow and transforms into an eagle soaring over Midgard. Explore mysterious ruins, collect divine powers, and defeat the ultimate calamity, the Black Dragon.

Project Title: "No pain no gain" Awards: Nominated in Vision Get Wild Award / Finalist in Digital Interactive Design Category at Golden Pin Award Authors: Ke-Yu Huang, Ting-An Hsieh, Yi-Ju Yao, Wei-Hsin Hsiao Instructor: Chung-Yi Chang Project Description: Through a first-person VR experience combined with actual pain stimuli, we intend to transform the work into a profound metaphor. Confronting suffering, can people maintain autonomy, or is everything merely leading to the same end?

Project Title: "Explorer" Awards: Nominated in Vision Get Wild Award / Finalist in Digital Interactive Design Category at Golden Pin Award Authors: Qi-Feng Ji, Zhi-Xian Liu, Chen Lin, Ming-Yen Sung, Yu-Hsuan Lu Instructor: Lung, Chi-Hao Project Description: "Explorer" is a first-person VR game where players assume the role of an extraterrestrial being with unique abilities. Using these powers, namely electrical, magnetic, and elastic forces, players overcome obstacles, evade human pursuit, and unravel the mysteries of their own existence.

Project Title: "Never End" Awards: Nominated in Vision Get Wild Award / Finalist in Digital Interactive Design Category at Golden Pin Award Authors: Zi-Hao Liu, Jia-Ren Liu, Cheng-Jun Huang, Yi-Zhen Peng Instructor: Lydia Hsiao-Mei Lin Project Description: If war were to suddenly erupt, how should ordinary civilians like us survive the chaos? "Never End" is a physical sensory game centered around the theme of escaping war, simulating missile attacks and trekking to other towns on foot. Players use motion-sensing devices to execute proper actions for surviving missile strikes and avoiding danger.

Project Title: "Cube4U" Awards: Nominated in Vision Get Wild Award Authors: Yu-Ling Cheng, Hsin-Yun Cho, Che-Chen Chang Instructors: Chia-Chang Yang, Yu-Ching Hsiao Project Description: In urban life, a fast pace and busyness are the norm. We use cubes as the main interactive interface and color as the medium. Within a perimeter of 2m x 2m (exhibition display setting 2m x 2.5m), we extend a space that belongs to the experiencer.

Project Title: "Let's Go Kaisui" Awards: Nominated in Vision Get Wild Award Authors: Yong-Yi Chang, Chih-Liang Liu, Yi-Yun Chen, Miao-Ru Chien Instructor: Lydia Hsiao-Mei Lin Project Description: "Let's Go Kaisui" is a tourism app for experiencing life in Taipei by visiting distinctive manhole covers. Through AR interactions on the manhole covers and abundant collectible elements, "touring Taipei" becomes simple and enjoyable.
