Undergraduate Students from the Department of Interaction Design Win Silver Award and Honorable Mention at the 2024 FNG Design Illustration Competition
Guided by Professor Yu-Chin Hsiao, first-year students Chi Yue and Ko Pei-Tsen participated in the 2024 FNG Design "Design Illustration for the Next Generation" competition, winning the Silver Award and Honorable Mention respectively. Chi Yue's work, "What We Should Remember," won the Silver Award. The piece explores the irony of humanity's pursuit of new homes in outer space while neglecting to change destructive habits that harm the environment. It serves as a reminder to cherish and protect the Earth.
Ko Pei-Tsen's work, "Ocean Pollution," received the Honorable Mention. The illustration features an innovative "Garbage Decomposition Gun" that transforms ocean waste into energy, which can then be stored in energy canisters to power a sustainable system. The design reflects an inventive approach to environmental conservation.
Both students expressed their concern for environmental issues through their illustrations, showcasing creativity and talent.
