Students from the Department of Interactive Design Win Top Honors at the 2025 Golden Pin Design Award (Young Pin Awards)

The interactive projection project "Fragile Signals", created by Li-Zhen Zeng, Dao-Shen Guo, and Ai-Ling Zhang, combines music, visuals, and motion detection to immerse participants in the emotional journey of a victim of online sexual violence. After receiving the Jury Award at the Kaohsiung Youth Design Festival, the project went on to win the prestigious "Young Pin Design Award – Best of the Year in Digital Interactive Design."

Another outstanding work, "Unforgettable Memories", by Yan Wei-Ting, Su Tzu-Kuei, Chou Huan-Chuan, Yeh Szu-Yo, Kuo Ting-Yu, and Yu Hui-Chun, employs MR/VR technology to reconstruct the first-person perspective of elders with dementia. It allows caregivers to step into their lived experiences, gaining a deeper understanding of their routines and inner world. This project was also recognized with the "Young Pin Design Award – Social Design Category."

Following their showcase at the Young Designers’ Exhibition (May 9–12), both projects will be featured at the Kaohsiung Vision Get Wild Expo (May 15–17). We look forward to seeing these students continue to shine and achieve even greater honors!
