Lecturer Chuang Che-Kuang has been honored with an Excellence Award at the 2023 Taitung Art Exhibition.
"The Nonlinear Landscapes" is a creative project initiated by Iecturer Chuang Che-Kuang in 2023. He perceives a fascinating quality in Taiwan's urban environment: the spacious avenues lined with high-rise mansions suddenly transform into desolate landscapes with overgrown weeds at the next intersection. This unique non-linear appearance of Taiwanese cities inspired him to reinterpret this phenomenon through the application of CG animation and AI technology, resulting in an entirely new video animation piece. In addition to "The Nonlinear Landscapes," another work titled "Noise Landscapes" was selected for the Taoyuan Art Exhibition organized by the Taoyuan City Government in October this year.
The "Taitung Art Exhibition," held biennially, is a significant art competition in Taitung County. It serves as an important platform for art exchange, emphasizing cultural enrichment and the continuous promotion of artistic creation. With a history of 34 years and 17 editions as of 2023, the exhibition is one of the longest-standing national government-sponsored art exhibitions in Taiwan.
