Congratulations! Instructor Che Kuang Chuang won the K Design Award and IDA Award 2023

Congratulation! Che-Kuang Chuang, a project lecturer in the Interactive Design Department, receives the prestigious Gold Award in Multimedia and Animation at the 17th International Design Awards (IDA) for his work "Noise Landscape." Additionally, his series "Metaworld Conceptual Visual Design" earns an IDA Honorable Mention and triumphs at the Korean K Design Award.

"Noise Landscape" marks Chuang's innovative blend of CG and AI in a video experiment, converting the diverse sounds of society into a virtual CG installation. AI, seen as the "other," interprets the inner world of artificial images, creating distinct perspectives on Taiwan's landscape through collaboration between the human artist and AI.

"Metaworld Conceptual Visual Design" series envisions the Metaverse R&D Center at National Taipei University of Technology, designing visuals related to "food, clothing, housing, and transportation" within the Metaverse. Chuang explores the transformations in human survival needs in this all-encompassing online world. Four imaginative machines symbolizing data, routers, social platforms, and fiber networks are designed, representing the spiritual nourishment of the human psyche in the internet era. The series extends from these machines, featuring visual images corresponding to different symbols and color spectrums.
